Light and Sound Waves, Biological Features, Space Systems, and Engineering Design
From the Solar System to human body systems, Science A nurtures children’s natural curiosity and provides daily opportunities to explore the world around them. Students will use real scientific skills and practices as they explore our natural earth: from weather, geology, natural habitats and animal life to what makes us ill and why we eat.
Science A includes a high-level introduction to light and sound waves and other STEM topics that will prepare students for a lifetime of scientific curiosity, learning and application. Weekly experiments tie directly to the week’s reading material for a more linear progression from reading to doing. The included Discover & Do: 1st Science Experiment Videos reenact all of the 36 experiments your students will perform, and provide reinforcement of the concepts observed during the experiment.
