Geology and Our National Parks

This is a wonderful way to study some of the amazing parks and monuments of our National Park system. Designed for high school this is a one semester study and includes:

19 rock and mineral samples from the various areas studied, individually bagged and labeled (see pictures above)

Each park or monument presents a different area of geological study, so while you get a grand overview of these parks, you also get a study of one particular area of geology with each location. And it is all done from a Young Earth, Global Flood perspective.

19 rock, mineral, and fossil samples from the various areas studied, individually bagged and labeled; samples may vary with each kit, but will include samples like the following (see picture above): fossil fish, pumice, petrified wood, tuff, fault gouge, concretion, andesite, pahoehoe basalt, fossil turtle shell, glacial loess, limestone, granite, disarticulated dinosaur bone, sandstone, metamorphic rock, conglomerate, rhyolite, A’a’ basalt, gneiss.
12 rock forming minerals: quartz, amphibole, pyroxene, calcium feldspar, biotite mica, magnetite (iron), olivine, muscovite mica, potassium feldspar, sodium feldspar, jasper, calcite (pictured above)
The text also includes special sections on understanding Deism, and radiometric dating.

Each lesson contains thought questions. A final exam with answers is included.
