D-Day Prayer: Franklin D. Roosevelt Radio Address Copywork (e-book)
$1.99
Following the Allied landing in Normandy, France, President Franklin D. Roosevelt called the nation to prayer and led the nation in a prayer for the more than 50,000 U.S. troops who had landed, as well as more than 70,000 Canadian and British troops. While the world waited to see the outcome of this pivotal moment in World War II, anxious parents and family members waited for word of loved ones. Thousands would not return home. President Roosevelt prayed for those fighting, those waiting at home, and those who would be lost, and he encouraged the nation to continue in prayer. This copywork includes the full text of his prayer, delivered by radio on June 6, 1944. It also includes a fact page with a map of the beaches involved and some facts about the invasion. Copywork to trace and to copy is included. Copywork is available in print or cursive handwriting practice. 30 pages total. Ages 8-13. Click to see a preview.
